Sprinkle your glitter across the world.
Speak with your beautiful voice
Dance even if you look stupid
Sing as loud as you can
Write what you want
Be who you are
Shine your rays on to our world

The Unicorn Who Started A Blog

Also, one of the girls I met at the DG summit has started a blog called The Unicorn who started a Blog.  It would be great if you could check it out and enter her writing contest.  Click here, here, or here to get to it.  Bye!

Which one is your favorite?

Which quote is your favorite? Let me know in the comments.

“Kindred spirits are not so scarce as I used to think. It's splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world.”

“True friends are always together in spirit. (Anne Shirley)”

“My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes.”

“There's such a lot of different Annes in me. I sometimes think that is why I'm such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn't be half so interesting.”

“People laugh at me because I use big words. But if you have big ideas, you have to use big words to express them, haven't you?”

“But if you call me Anne, please call me Anne with an 'e'.”

“...“Oh, Marilla, looking forward to things is half the pleasure of them,” exclaimed Anne. “You mayn’t get the things themselves; but nothing can prevent you from having the fun of looking forward to them. Mrs. Lynde says, ‘Blessed are they who expect nothing for they shall not be disappointed.’ But I think it would be worse to expect nothing than to be disappointed.”...”

The 20 things tag!

Thank you to Meg for tagging me!

1. How tall are you?
4 foot 5? I'm short for a ten year old :)

2. Do you have a hidden talent? If so what?
I think I have some talents but I'm not sure about hidden ones.

3. What's your biggest blog related pet-peeve?
When I'm copying and pasting questions for an award but the text on the blog that I am doing this from is very different from my blog's text and then the post ends up looking kind of weird.

4. What's your biggest non-blog related pet-peeve
I guess I have a lot. But things like "Rofl" and "gtg" and other text talk kind of bother me. I'm not as bothered with them now but I like regular sentences and words a lot better!

5. What's your favourite song?
It changes all the time. Right now I really like "boss" by fifth harmony and "she looks so perfect" by 5SOS.

What exactly is etsy again? :)

7. What's your favourite way to spend your free time when you're alone?
Reading, blogging, writing, etc....

How could I ever pick?

11. What's your favourite beauty product?
I'm ten so I don't wear any and I don't think I ever will.

12. When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
I didn't exactly hear what my teacher was saying  and I was kind of tired so I ended up saying something random to question and then smiling for a long long time until I realized what I said.

13. If you could drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A mango milkshake.

14. What's your favourite movie?
Don't know.

15. What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?
I have around 4 years to go to high school but I'm guessing I'll be a valedictorian or a nerd.

16. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Right where I live right now. The place that has mountains beach, and just land. (I won't be giving more info than that about where I live. )

17. PC or Mac?

19. Favourite celebrity?
Do not know.

20. What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?

Morningtime4's Blog Party and Writing Contest!

First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who commented on my previous post. I have responded to all of the comments. I wasn't able to say much in the comments individually due to lack of time but here I can thank everyone. All of your comments were so nice and sweet. I feel great that you guys aren't going to think about me any differently now that you know my age. I have realized, that I have met some quite great people in the blogging world. Anyway, thanks again! Now, for partying!

Lets get our party on!

The Ups and Downs of My Not-So-Average Life

1. What do you love about the fall season?
The leaves, the breeze, everything!
2. If you walked in a mall and saw a guacamole chip hat, would you wear one or eat it?
Take a pic of me wearing one and then eat it. :)
3. What is one of the most frustrating or aggravating things in the blogging world?
When no one reads on a post that you worked very hard on.
4. Would you rather build a snowman or sing in the rain? (See what I did there?)
Sing in the rain. Unfortunately, my mom would not approve of that idea.
5. If you had to chose how you were a part of a theater or movie production, would you be: an actor, props designer, set designer, light/technical director, audio coordinator, costume director, music director, dance coordinator, stage manager, or a part of the audience?
Ok, so I'm actually currently working behind the scenes for a play right now and one of  the jobs above will be mine. I would probably like to be a props designer, set designer, or stage manager.
6. List your blogging inspirations (blogs and people).
Ok, there are a lot of blogs and people that are inspirational to me but I'll just pick a few.
1. My family
2. Some of my friends
3.  Kat and Almost Completely Mad
4. Morningtime4 and The Ups and Downs of my Not so Average Life
5. Rose and Truly Madly Deeply
6. Eve and Eve of Womanhood
7, Oakstar and An Amazing Case of Wanderlust
8 . And many more!
7. Do you think you could commit yourself to a Halloween costume made of lint, or a Halloween costume made of bubble wrap?
Bubble Wrap would be awesome
8. Do you tend to photo bomb people's photos, or divert from them?
9. What is one word you constantly have to keep looking up the definition to?
I'm not sure...
10. If you wrote an autobiography about yourself, what would you call it (if you couldn't place your name in the title) and why?
An Optimistic Jollygirl
And now for my entry to Morningtime4's writing contest!
You hurt everyone.
Your friends,
Your family,
Your words
they were piercing
And, they didn't go away
staying there
right there
a scar
forever and ever
And your lies,
they brought you down
as the truth was
You betrayed
hurt them
for yourself.
I see you
at your lip,
Guilt flooding into your
in realization of what
have done.
There is no way to erase
can't take it
the sun will rise
a new chance,

The Thing About My Age

Ok, so I haven't told anyone about my age yet. The thing is, I'm pretty young compared to all my followers and the writers of the blogs that I read. Most of you must be 4-5 years older than me (some even older). There is no need to tell you what my age is. Before I was actually trying to hide it in fear that no one would take me seriously. When you figure out my age some of you will probably skip over my posts when they see them in their dashboard or not take me seriously. But, I'm not going to hide my age. I'm proud of being a poet, a blogger, a musician, a discovery girl, a reader, etc....... And, there is no reason to be ashamed of my age. Anyway, I'm ten. Now, maybe you are surprised that you have been reading a ten year old's blog or maybe you don't care. But whether you care or not does not affect me. I'm proud of the things I've done in my short lifetime and I will not be ashamed to say my age.  I will not be ashamed about anything about myself. You see, I've learned a lesson, Don't be ashamed about anything about yourself, love and savor it, sprinkle down your magic.  See you later. Bye.

The Power of Introverts

The power of introverts. I encourage you to take time to watch this video. It is amazing. Introverts and Extroverts are both amazing in their own way!

I am very thankful for my wonderful friends!

Theater Production, Thanks

First of all, I would like to say thank you to Eve. Thank you for designing this blog so beautifully! You and other designers like Morningtime4 have inspired me to start learning some html and you can view my first design on Words of a Writer , here or here or here. I'm still going to add some things to it (like a top button) but it is almost finished. So, anyway I'm going to continue to learn html!

So, every year the students in the grade I'm in now, have a play. I've always enjoyed watching these hour long plays and admired the people who put so much hard work into them. These plays are optional and I was a bit unsure about signing up but I ended up doing so. But, instead of choosing to be in the production of Peter Pan (that is the play this year but it will be the broadway version/ the disney movie) I have decided to work in behind the scenes. As a behind the scenes person, I get to paint the scenery and do other things according to what jobs we get. Job selections are based on how responsible you are.

Yesterday was the second day of behind the scenes but we haven't started on any art yet because first, we need to hear the play and the music (which we will do next week when the roles for the cast are picked. Note: Everyone who joins the theater production will get a role but most people will be in the ensemble and the very talented people will be main characters) and we need to plan.

Any way, I'm really excited to start designing the stage with two of my friends!(my other friends all decided to be in the cast and I'm wishing them luck for the roles they want) Bye!

Summer Pictures

Finally, the time has come to share with you, summer pictures! Some of them are a little blurred to hide faces but you can still see them. There are not a bunch of pictures but anyway.... Also, please check out a new poem I have written here.

Happiness and Sadness

1. Finding out that someone who you thought was your friend is really not your friend
2. Having high expectations that are let down
3. Rainy gloomy days
4. Knowing that you have made a huge mistake
5. When you figure out that the "I'm so lucky to have you as a friend!" meant nothing
6. When you figure out that someone has made a plan behind your back to separate you and another friend.

1. Knowing that you are going to have tons of fun working on a project with your good friends
2. Knowing that you have a great family
3. Knowing that you will have great fun learning at school the next day!

Hey guys! How are you doing? The lists above are what I am sad about and what I am happy about. Sadness is an illness an happiness is a treat. So, whenever you are feeling sad, reach for the happy. Think of the happy things in your life! You will definitely feel at least a little better.

Also, I made a writing blog that I am going to post my writing on, Some of my writing will be posted on this blog and in the writing section of this blog but all of my writing will be published on that blog. I have already published some writing and will publish more later! To visit my writing blog click here

We Comment Award

Oakstar nominated me for the We Comment award. Thank you Oakstar!

What do I do when I get this award?
Congratulations! Create a post about the award! Tell your readers about how to get this award and what to do when they get it! You can write anything about the award, and make sure to encourage your readers to comment on other people's blogs! Then choose a reader who really cares, who makes your day, who really appreciates what you write. Let them know and be sure to comment on their post about the award. You can put the picture on your sidebar too!

I give this award to Morningtime4 for putting thoughtful long comments on my blog and helping me out in the blogging world. She has a wonderful blog and is an extremely nice person.

Also, I would like to say thank you to Eve for designing the new blog design you see on this blog! Thank you so much Eve! She got back to me pretty fast and has done everything I have wanted!

Tribute To Writers

Hi! Recently, I entered Bethan's  writing contest! I am honored that I got first place! Anyway, I read all of the other amazing entries and they were beautiful! The entries to my writing contest a few weeks ago were beautiful and I see beautiful writing on posts! So, I decided to make up a writing award called...... Tribute To Writers!

1. Answer All Questions
2. Put the picture in your post (has to be linked back to me)
3. Tell what you love about writing (if you like writing. if you don't, then you don't have to do this award)
4. Share one piece of writing.
4. Nominate 3 other writers/ bloggers. (no tag backs) and make up 5 new questions for them to answer.
5. Have fun!

Questions (the people I nominate will be answering this but I will be too!)

1. What is your favorite type of writing?
2. When did you start writing?
Since... a long time ago!
3. Your favorite author?
I have no clue! Probably J.K Rowling!
4. Have you ever finished a novel?
Nope! I prefer to write poetry but writing stories are fun!
5. On a scale of one to ten what would you rate writing?

My one piece of writing:
Through broken glass and spider webs I go
A cave of memories and dreams that were shattered
I will face the chasm of angry souls because I know
Behind all the darkness and shadows, happiness lurks.

I love writing because:

Writing is a whole different world to me where anything can happen. Nothing is impossible in writing. Whenever I write I get a rush of excitement and I become part of the writing world. Writing makes me feel that anything can happen and nothing is impossible.

I nominate:

Lets Act More Like Colors

Colors, they come together to make beautiful things. Their differences don't matter, their significance doesn't matter. They just come together. Each color has a certain part in the scene and the parts all contribute whether they are small or not. You've seen different shades of colors. You know that they look different and are different but they still find a way to work together. And when they do try to work together, it doesn't turn into a mess, it turns into something....WONDERFUL!  What they do together is magical. Don't you like magical and wonderful things? We could create these kinds of things too, but only if we work together. Sadly, it doesn't seem like that is happening soon.

BUT WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN SOON! If we just let people know what working together would do!  It creates magical things like the colors do. Right now there are so many arguments between countries, about subjects, at home, at school but we can change that! I'm not saying that this world should be argument free. Arguments can be good. But, we should learn how to put aside our differences and try to work it out.

Right now, I'm letting at least 16 people know about this. Those 16 people are my followers. We could let even more people know about this! So, if you agree with what I'm saying it would be great if you mentioned it on your blog, to your family, etc.... By doing this we can make people aware about working together. You can also share the picture I have made below (you have to link the picture to my blog if you are going to use it.) So anyway, lets start raising awareness about this!

Summer Wrap Up

Hi guys! As you guys know, fall is almost here and summer is about to end. Just a few days ago, I started school and am now back to the school routine! Anyway, I thought I should do a summer wrap up sort of thing! First of all, I would like to say I'm sorry for not having any pictures of the things I did. . Also, We Are The Readers  now has three posts so you can check that out and may be hit that magic follow button! Also, as you can see, I have changed my design. I like how my new design is super simple so it does not distract from posts!

Part one of summer wrap up:

Remember that post that I made this summer with my summer time goals? Well, now I'm seeing which ones I accomplished!

1. Get 10 followers by the end of the summer.

This goal has been accomplished! I currently have 15 followers via GCF and 5 followers via bloglovin

2. Add a new page to my blog.

This goal has also been accomplished with the addition of "reviews" and "extras"

3. Discover 20 new blogs.

Check! I've discovered many wonderful blogs over the summer!

4. Comment on other people's blogs more frequently.

Ding! I am pretty sure that I have commented more.

5. Learn some basic html.

Not much. I just learned how to make images smaller and larger with html, some general info about coding, and I copied and pasted some code from other places to do stuff,

6. Make a button for my blog.

Part two of summer wrap up:

I'm going to talk about things that I have done over the summer now!
Any way, lets get started!
Reminder: None of the pictures below have been taken by me so all pictures that I use will have a caption below them that links to where the picture was found.

Picture taken from http://www.discoverygirls.com/dg-blog
Okay! So just around two weeks ago I went to the Discovery Girl Summit. It was so fun! I got to meet so many people and have made tons of new friends! We went to the beach (to wet our feet and to take profile shots) we did behind the scenes (my group made parfaits) we took cover pictures, and acting pictures and so much more happened! It was really fun!

5/24/14 Bridge and coastline views
Picture taken from http://www.yelp.com/biz/bixby-bridge-big-sur

The picture above is a picture of The Bixby Bridge in California! It is so beautiful! In this picture you can't really see the ocean or the small cave to the side but you can still see how beautiful it is.

This picture is taken from https://partywirks.com/store/skate_world_waco/category/445/public_roller_skating_birthday_parties

I also roller skated this summer with my friends! This is kind of weird but the cookies at the rollerskating place were sooooo good so my friend and I always made sure that we had enough money leftover from that day to buy a cookie!

Picture taken from http://www.lego.com/en-us/

This summer, I also went to lego camp (though I'm not a big fan of Legoes) We made things like kicking legs, mets, things that spinned, etc......

So those are four things I've done this summer (nothing else has happened that is interesting)

Part 3 of summer wrap up:

Goals for the rest of this year (until January first, 2015)

1. Get 30 followers
2. Practice extra math even though my math homework takes forever!
3. Work on more HTML
4. Post at least once a week (I won't be able to post on weekdays because my math homework takes to long!)
5. Center the tabs
6. Make sure to post at least once every 2-4 weeks on We Are The Readers

So, the summer wrap up is done! Bye!!

I hope you have a nice day! Bye!!!

Poems, Moon, Pictures

Hi! Yesterday I saw a beautiful moon! Below is a short poem type thing about it. It is not that good but it describes what I saw.

The Moon
its about to come out
ready for the showcase
The gleaming audience looks
to the darkness
The spotlight turns on
the moon comes out
the audience claps
while the moon smiles in joy
sharing his brightness with everyone
Not caring about the blemishes
he has
or that most
are looking towards the favored that twinkle in the sky
gloating about their talents
because he knows that some are watching
and they like it.
Dark clouds drift to
the center of the sky
shadowing the moon
the spotlight is broken
the show has ended.

Also read this poem that I recited for a first birthday of somebody my family knows.:

She wiggles her tiny toes
She waves her fragile hands
She blinks her bright innocent eyes
And smiles an all knowing smile
the one,
the little one,
the apple of her parents’ eyes
the one that can give life to an empty soul
the sugar to a bitter life
lighting up the world every day:
the reason for countless smiles.

Also, please enjoy the edited pictures below. I took a flower from the samples pictures in my computer and then edited it (so I didn't take the picture but I did edit it)

The original picture before I edited it:

Have a good day! Bye!!!
